Resorting a List Print E-mail

Sometimes you want to see a list sorted alphabetically. Sometimes you may want the list sorted by date. In Windows Explorer and many different application you can quickly and easily sort a list with one click of the mouse. Here's how.

Most lists can be sorted by clicking on the title of the list. For instance, when you perform a search in Windows Explorer it will give you a detailed list that includes the Name of the file, the Size, the Type of file, and the Date Modified. The list below is sorted alphabetically by title from A to Z.

Click the Title header as shown by the arrow and it will sort by title from Z to A as show below.

To sort it by date, just click on the Date header.

You can sort by any header using this easy technique. This easy method for sorting lists of files can be used in many different applications including Windows and most email programs.
